Test-  & Validation Services

BAT develops and operates test systems for the electric drive train. Test development, test automation, test stand development, function development and test stand construction as well as test stand operation are among our services.

HV Battery Test

The test of high-voltage batteries for automobiles includes, among other things: the flashing of the control unit, the dielectric strength, the insulation resistance, the current consumption, charging and discharging as well as the creation of a voltage-free state. 

We access the UDS / diagnostic interfaces of the battery control unit directly via CAN / LIN and can analyze sources of error immediately

Inverter Test

In addition to checking the software version and the flash test, the test of inverters / converters also includes direct communication with the inverter control unit in order to be able to analyze error messages 1:1. 

Burn-in test, protective circuit test, function test, high-voltage test, insulation test, but also leakage current measurement are standard with the inverter sets. The test ring is actively cooled during the performance tests.

Amplifier Test

The test of power amplifiers also requires a special look: Are the current sensors correctly calibrated? Does the boost mode work? 

What about the passive discharge? 

High-voltage test, function test and the power test are also part of the standard test procedures for power amplifiers.

Device Pathology
& Defect Testing

If it comes to numerous technical failiure in the field, the root cause has to be examined and assessed. 

Using professional analyzing tools, BAT investigates whether something just broke or if you have a systemic pathologic issue that has to be adjusted in your production or fixed in your software to avoid a recall campaign or extraordinary repair costs.

BAT Engineers show a long development history and deep technical knowledge in embedded systems. Either the hidden units or the visible devices like HUD, Infotainment or Instrument Cluster.
